In this video, I take on the challenge of eventing two ponies in one day at Swalcliffe with Winnie and Marge. This was their last run before the regionals, and with the weather forecast predicting a warm day, I wanted to share some thoughts on how we can best prepare for eventing in the heat. I’ll also talk about why I felt it was okay to run them both this week, despite the challenges that might come with competing in warmer weather. It was definitely a mixed day—there were a few spicy moments and some rusty bits as we get back into the swing of things. But despite the hiccups, I was absolutely thrilled with both ponies. It’s always a huge learning experience and one step closer to the big goal. Now, with regionals coming up soon, I’m feeling super excited and ready to take on the challenge, especially with Badminton qualifiers just around the corner!
