In our opinion climbing Aconcagua via the Vacas Valley Route is the best way to climb. The Vacas route traverse route is the best approach to Aconcagua. I have summitted Aconcagua 8 times and we have led hundreds of people to the summit. We prefer the Vacas valley traverse route for our Aconcagua climbs. Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the western hemisphere, presenting many challenges, but we have a great team in place in support of your trek from start to finish. We have bought into local logistics to offer you the best service for your Aconcagua Expedition. The three biggest challenges you will face on Aconcagua: 1). The extreme altitude above 5,500m/ 18,500 feet. 2). High winds, bad weather, extreme cold in challenging conditions. 3). The physical challenge of lugging all your mountaineering gear up and down the mountain at high altitude should not be underestimated. Aconcagua is potentially a dangerous peak and underestimated by a lot of people each year. The summit success rate is generally excepted at 30% due to bad weather and poor physical preparation. Our itinerary has 4 days when we can make a summit attempt. This alternative traverse route up Aconcagua is visually more stunning and a beautiful trail to complete this Aconcagua circuit trip. This Vacas valley route is for the person with an adventurous spirit and will give you the experience of being on an expedition style ascent. CONTACT US: https://iantaylortrekking.com/contact... and we can share video and pictures of the route. After trekking to Plaza de Argentina Base Camp at 4,200m/ 13,780 feet. We will spend 4 days acclimatizing, moving higher and resting in Base Camp. When we move higher above base camp, we will cross under the Polish Glacier, and move around the mountain to Camp 3, Colera Camp 5,980m/ 19,618 feet for a night before we attempt the last stretch to the summit before coming back down the traditional route. Once back in Plaza de Mulas Base camp 4,400m/ 14,405 feet we will trek the final leg to the road head in one day. This is a 16 mile/ 26km hike. Previous Experience is Important for Aconcagua, and we can help you gain this experience in Nepal: https://iantaylortrekking.com/the-eve... Kilimanjaro: https://iantaylortrekking.com/kiliman... or in Ecuador: https://iantaylortrekking.com/ecuador... We offer this trip to private groups and individuals in the months of December, January and February on an annual basis. We have found that people who have 6,000m/19,685ft experience along with endurance trekking and hiking over a number of years are more likely to succeed on this mountain. It is a very strenuous trek which requires intensive preparation. Read first hand from one of our clients: https://iantaylortrekking.com/blog/tr... We only offer a quality service and acclimatization program to aid you in your enjoyment, safety and summit success. Aconcagua is a great way to test yourself in the mountains and can be a great stepping stone to 8,000m/ 26,247 feet peaks in the Himalayas. We are available to help you come fully prepared and we want to see you have the safest and best experience possible on one of our Aconcagua Expeditions.
