BMW oil leakages fix I Gaskets change I e46 e39 repair project I Vanos rebuild I Autobahn test drive

This video series on my BMW e46 320i is covering several works and parts change that are common in any BMW with a M54 engine specially the e46s and the e39s models. The main target when I started this project was just changing the oil pan gasket but through the work progress, I discovered other issues that should be fixed or from a preventive maintenance point of view was a good time to change some parts and because it was also a good opportunity to do it to save a lot of double hard work. Before starting this project, I was thinking if this work was really worth it because of the costs and the time that I have to invest. Then I came up with the idea to check the health of the engine by testing its compression and accordingly I will decide: Sell the car or do the work by my self to save money and enjoy the journey. Another reason made me go in this direction was the fact that I wanted to share this project with you guys and show you how I did it. So you can do it too! I decided to make the videos a little bit long to show the maximum if the details, but refer to the description below to skip to the right section you want to see. Very important: I didn't the work in one day or two because I wanted to take my time doing everything in a proper way. I was working on this car when I had the time to (in average 3 to 4 hours per week) All the tools and products I use and you see in my videos are bought by me and none of these brands is a sponsor.
