World War II veteran in Burrillville celebrates 100th birthday

A local World War II veteran was celebrated Sunday as loved ones, local leaders and members of the military community gathered to honor his 100th birthday. George Barber, who served in the Army from 1944 to 1948 during World War II, was recognized at a birthday celebration at the Townsmen Club in Burrillville, sharing memories of his life and service.
