Lesney Matchbox – 1964 Catalog Line Boxes - Video No.165 – November 4th, 2016

My favorite catalog year for Matchbox is 1964. There is just something about what collectors call the “D” box that I find appealing. The first Matchbox box is called the script box because MOKO is written in script instead of block letters. The 2nd generation box says MOKO in blosk letters. The third says LESNEY and this the “D” box is the fourth. The fith generation takes series out of the arch and are typically a bit larger. The last box for the Matchbox Regular wheels is called the “F” box and all the lettering is lin straight lines. Take a look as I work to complete my collection of 1964 boxes.
