Hey everyone! Today, I'm sharing quick thoughts on my current reads—three books that are keeping my nights interesting (and sometimes sleepless). Kicking off with Four Past Midnight by Stephen King. I'm deep into "The Secret Window, Secret Garden" novella right now, and it's peak King: a writer's unraveling psyche, blurred lines between reality and fiction, and that slow-burn tension that makes you question everything. If you love psychological thrillers with a literary edge, this one's gold. Then there's The End of the Dream by Ann Rule. True crime isn't usually my go-to, but Rule's meticulous storytelling and real-life twists had me hooked. It's chilling how ordinary lives can spiral into darkness—reality really does outdo fiction sometimes. Check out the Netflix documentary on this one!!! And on the calmer side, The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I've been turning to it for quiet moments of reflection. Tolle's message about living in the present is powerful in its simplicity, but—a quick word of caution: not all self-help books are created equal. Some repackage basic ideas with guru-level hype. Always read with your critical thinking cap on. That said, I'm craving a shift away from thrillers, sci-fi, and horror for a bit. Hit me with your best classic literature recommendations in the comments—think timeless novels, rich prose, deep characters. The older and more enduring, the better.
