It’s also 4matic for the first time, so AWD, which helps with breadth of ability and speed but adds weight. Speaking of which, it’s a much bigger car, with a second row of seating and a huge boot. It also employs a new advanced semi-active suspension, in order to counter this and maintain sporting ability. Now while all of these things can be viewed as a negative. In living with it, it’s actually these changes that have probably made it an even better GT car. Over the past week, I’ve tested this car in every scenario—twisty B-roads, motorways, and everyday family tasks—to see if it’s the perfect mix of performance and practicality.
