CM Siddaramaiah, DCM DK Shivakumar Welcome Sonia & Priyanka Gandhi At Mysore Airport Mysuru, Karnataka — Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi arrived in Mysuru on Tuesday ahead of the nomination filing for the Wayanad parliamentary seat in neighboring Kerala. The duo received a warm welcome at Mysore Airport from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who also serves as the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President. They were joined by AICC General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, along with other senior Congress leaders, to greet the Gandhis. Priyanka Gandhi is set to file her nomination for the Wayanad parliamentary by-elections on Wednesday. The Congress party has organized a roadshow to mark the occasion, beginning at 11 AM from the New Bus Stand in Kalpetta, Kerala. Priyanka will deliver a public address at 11:45 AM at Gudalai, opposite the KWA office in Kalpetta, before officially filing her nomination at the Collectorate at 12:30 PM. Kalpetta is located approximately 138.3 kilometers from Mysuru. Notable figures, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former party chiefs Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, will be present during the nomination filing.
