Good morning! It is Wednesday, March 4, 2026. We are halfway through the week! Grab your favorite mug, pour something hot, and let's get Wednesday started. Today we are celebrating the rules of language, looking back at a major pop-culture milestone, and discussing a brand new medical breakthrough that makes our morning coffee even more amazing. On today’s show: 📝 Happy National Grammar Day! March 4th ("March Forth!") is the official day to celebrate the quirks, rules, and sometimes confusing exceptions of the English language. Whether you are a strict believer in the Oxford comma or you just try your best, today is the day to appreciate the words we use every day. 📸 The Birth of People Magazine: Exactly 52 years ago today, on March 4, 1974, the very first issue of People magazine hit the newsstands. Featuring Mia Farrow on the cover and costing just 35 cents, it completely changed how the world consumed entertainment news and celebrity human-interest stories. 🔬 Coffee to the Rescue: For our good news segment, we are talking about an incredible new medical breakthrough out of Texas A&M. Scientists have discovered a way to combine caffeine with CRISPR gene-editing to create a high-tech medical switch. They can now program immune T cells to fight cancer, and then activate those cells to attack tumors simply by having the patient consume a small dose of caffeine! Our morning brew might literally be the future of medicine. 🤣 Joke of the Day: “Why did the comma break up with the apostrophe? Because it was just too possessive!” 🤔 Thought of the Day: “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.” — Mark Twain Question of the Day: We all have one—what is the one grammar mistake or misspelled word that absolutely drives you crazy?
