I install a rear door gas strut in a Land Rover Defender station wagon. The gas strut is far superior at keeping the rear door open on uneven surfaces. The Mulgo Defender gas strut kit comes complete with all fixings and detailed instructions. Due to my rear door table modifications, I had to relocate the strut to the top of the door frame and make new mounts. The original door stay was left in place at the bottom.
