Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today, we are taking a look and installing the Demco Air Force One Braking System on a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. When flat towing any vehicle, a braking system is gonna be required, and you're left with a few options. You can go with a portable option, which is great. Installation's very easy, and you set it up and it's ready to go. The downside is you have to set it up every time that you wanna flat tow your vehicle, and then, when not setting it up, you have to store said braking system. If you're a full-timer or someone that flat tows all the time, that's valuable space that you could be using for, really, anything else. And that's where a fixed braking system really shines. If you're flat towing all the time or you just wanna hook up and hit the road and cut down any time of setup on your flat tow vehicle, the fixed braking system really becomes a great option. And with that, you'll have different fixed braking systems that are gonna be dependent on your RV. For instance, we have a diesel pusher that's gonna be having air brakes. So, if that's the case, the Air Force One is always the one that I recommend people go to, and it's a pretty easy system overall. And at the end of the day, it's gonna apply the brakes on your vehicle as you slow and stop in your RV, keeping you safe and legal. So, what all does that consist of Well, you'll see this blue cable. This is attached to and fitting on the back of our RV, and we actually were prepped on ours already. Someone had flat towed previously before and the tank was already installed on the RV. But if you get the full kit, you'll get the tank to be able to hook that up to your RV. Something I will recommend is, on newer ones, you can see if they're already prepped, and if that's the case, you can go with a second vehicle kit. But if you're starting fresh and you don't have that tank, the full kit will give you everything you need. Today, we're gonna be focusing on the vehicle side only, so if you have a '17 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you're in the right place. As far as features go, the braking is applied via a cylinder that's mounted to the brake pedal, and that will actuate based off of air pressure that's sent from our tank every time you hit the brakes through this coiled section, to this fitting, to our main unit, and that's gonna disperse that air pressure, eventually, to our cylinder. This vehicle is fairly easy to install on, but a braking system's something unique. You probably haven't done this before unless you've done other flat tow vehicles. It can be scary when you're cutting into a brake booster line, or just routing wires through the vehicle can be tricky. But I'm gonna walk you through step by step and lay out the land, let you know what everything does and how to get everything connected. Throughout that process, though, if you decide, "You know what This isn't something I wanna tackle. I don't have the time, the place, the tools, or even the want to do this," don't worry about it, I understand. The install can be a little bit intimidating at first. So, if that's the case, you can get your Air Force One as well as any of your other flat tow components installed by using our dealer network. You can simply put in your zip code, find a list of shops to be able to install your braking system, as well as everything else, so you don't have to worry about the install. You can be out on the road enjoying your flat-towed Jeep. That being said, this is an install that you're gonna wanna probably do at the same time as your baseplate. It's really gonna make it a lot easier because the fascia will be off, and then it's gonna allow you to route everything nice and clean and get the best-looking and just solid braking system install possible. Speaking of that install, let's take a look at that now. When it comes to installing a fixed braking system, it can scare people off. It's a unique installation that, even if you're mechanically inclined, unless you've flat towed a vehicle before, it's a little bit unique. But honestly, the Air Force One, at least on the vehicle side, is pretty straightforward. There's not a ton of electrical to it, which is nice. A lot of it comes down to just plumbing up air. Th
