This event, organized in collaboration with TYPSA, will address the challenges faced by specialized logistics ecosystems, particularly in urban environments, and explore the opportunities offered by Digital Twins to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and decision-making. The discussions will highlight how these technologies can tackle issues such as real-time monitoring, decision-making, and automation. The agenda includes presentations from experts across diverse fields. A keynote lecture by MIT’s Prof. Cathy Wu on self-driving cars and autonomous vehicles will be followed by industrial applications of Digital Twins in logistics: APM Terminals on real-time monitoring of port equipment, CivilNova on virtualization of mining assets, EMT on urban mobility hubs, and Mercamadrid on smart logistics platforms. A round table discussion will feature representatives from academia, industry, and administration, exploring the transformative potential of Digital Twins to address logistical challenges and create new opportunities in the management of infrastructures for last-mile and urban logistics.
