The Bobo Switch is a simple yet powerful technique for deceptively exchanging one small object for another. It is an absolute staple of coin magic and needs to be in every magician's arsenal of sleights. I could have easily made this video a tutorial for a routine using the Bobo switch but in the video I give several ideas on the types of things you can do with the technique and there are plenty more I'm sure you guys can come up with yourselves. I didn't mention it in the video but if you want to bend a coin the low tech way, the easiest way I know of is to get two pairs of pliers and some thick cloth, cover the coin in the cloth and bend the coin with the pliers. If you don't use the cloth (I suggest leather) you will get tell tale marks left over by the teeth of the pliers.
