Riyadh's Sports Boulevard is an ambitious urban development project aiming to transform the city into a global hub for sports, culture, and entertainment. Extending approximately 135 kilometers, it connects Wadi Hanifa in the west to Wadi Al-Sulai in the east, making it one of the world's longest linear parks. The boulevard is divided into eight distinct districts, each offering unique experiences: Hanifah Valley Zone: Spanning 30 kilometers, this area caters to both professional and amateur cyclists, pedestrians, and horse riders, featuring multiple stops with amenities like bike maintenance centers and retail outlets. Arts District: A 3-kilometer stretch dedicated to cultural and artistic facilities, including museums, libraries, studios, and conference halls, complemented by pedestrian and cycling paths. Urban Wadi Zone: Covering 3.5 kilometers along Al-Yasen Valley, this district features a water canal, green spaces, and pathways for pedestrians and cyclists, with potential areas for investment. Entertainment District: A 4-kilometer area offering parks, gardens, theaters, cinemas, and event venues, along with a 40-kilometer viaduct designed for professional cyclists. Athletics District: This 5-kilometer zone includes over 60 sports facilities, such as football pitches, indoor courts for various sports, and a venue for skiing, aiming to promote competitive sports within the community. Sand Sports Park: Situated in a 20,000 square kilometer sandy area, it features a unique flower-shaped cycling track rising 50 meters above the ground, an equestrian center, and a 5-square-kilometer zoo, catering to adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts. Eco District: Focused on sustainability, this 14-kilometer zone incorporates green technologies and practices, offering educational centers for environmental awareness, residential complexes, and organic food production facilities. Al Sulai Valley Zone: Extending 53 kilometers, this area provides routes for professional cycling, horse riding, and pedestrian pathways, along with amenities like coffee shops, retail outlets, and camping areas. Beyond recreational offerings, the project emphasizes environmental sustainability by planning to plant over 170,000 trees, aiming to increase Riyadh's green space per capita by 62%. This initiative seeks to improve air quality, reduce urban heat, and provide shaded outdoor areas, enhancing the city's livability. Launched in 2019 as part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the Sports Boulevard is set to redefine urban living in Riyadh by promoting healthier lifestyles, fostering community engagement, and positioning the city as a leader in urban wellness and recreational infrastructure. #sportboulevard #riyadh #saudiarabia #walkingtour #walkingvideo #riyadhcity #walking #walkingplace #cycling #cyclingplace
