Avowed is an action role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment set in the world of Eora - the setting for Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 also from Obsidian. Bringing players to The Living Lands - a wild frontier filled with mercenaries, renegades, and scallywags - basically exiles from the major races - or Kith - of Eora, all searching for their own place in the wider world away from Empires and Civilzation (though there are cities and settlements in the Living Lands. Ancient ruins also scatter the island - hinting at anicent mysteries to be discovered. I love Obsidian. The Outer Worlds and Pentiment are some of my favorite games. Everything from the writing, gameplay, settings, sound design, voice acting, and more enthralls me in their games. I've started to play Fallout: New Vegas and am thoroughly enjoying that as well. Avowed is a game that I waited awhile for and loved. While I did a normal playthrough, I typically love to do games at their hardest setting for a second run or more. Avowed was just an enjoyable game for me, and I want to share with anyone else who loved the game or is interested in it.
