On this episode we review a very popular and almost notorious brand and model in the Squale 50 Atmos, but this particular trim pretty much (for me) encompasses the perfect itterration of the 1521, with it's Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Military '3H Bund' inspired dial layout, symmetrical no-date, and revised/refined minimalist Squale branding, this is the model I've been waiting for. The Squale 50 Atmos has been a popular, albeit controversial choice for collectors these past few years but for me, there's always been one too many tradeoffs in what I was specifically looking for in a vintage inspired Diver. Until now, the 50 Atmos Militare with its matte Opaco finish just hits all of the right notes for me.
