Welcome to Tutorial 9 of our CATIA V5 beginner series! Following up on our previous video, today we are diving deeper into the powerful Shaft command by modeling a fully 3D Cone or a prefered one. The Pro Trick in this video: We won't just make a standard 360-degree shape! You will learn how to sketch a simple triangle profile and use the Angle Limits inside the Shaft Definition dialog box. By setting the first angle to 270 degrees, we generate a partial cone in a single step, saving us from having to use an extra Pocket feature later! In this CAD exercise, you will practice: • Sketching and constraining a triangular profile. • Selecting the correct axis of revolution. • Mastering the First and Second Angle limits in the Shaft command. ⚙️ 👇 Question for the comments: Before watching this, would you have generated a full 360-degree cone and cut a 90-degree slice out with a Pocket, or did you already know about the Angle limits in the Shaft tool? Let's discuss! 👍 If this workflow tip saved you time, please LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE for more daily CATIA V5 exercises! #catiav5 #catiatutorials #partdesign #3dmodeling #cad #shortsfeed #architecture #mechanicalengineering #engineeringstudents #cadtips
