This condition can be congenital or acquired. Congenital esophageal stenosis (CES) is manifested as an intrinsic narrowing of the esophagus present at birth. PYLORIC STENOSIS A condition in which the opening between the stomach and small intestine thickens. Pyloric stenosis occurs most often in babies under six months old. In this condition, the pylorus muscles block food from entering the small intestine. It occurs more often in males. DUODENAL STENOSIS Duodenal stenosis is the term used for narrowing, resulting in an incomplete obstruction of the duodenum lumen. A duodenal web is a more rare cause of duodenal obstruction, which tends to cause a windsock deformity of the duodenal lumen. INTESTINAL STENOSIS With intestinal stenosis, the intestine isn't completely blocked, but the inside space (lumen) has narrowed so much that it's difficult for nutrients to move through. Both intestinal atresia and intestinal stenosis are also sometimes referred to as intestinal obstructions. #Duodenalstenosis
