AQUATIC AUSTRALIA - STORIES FROM THE DEEP This film is part of the Aquatic Australia visual dive logbook, a growing archive of real dives recorded across Australian Waters. Date : 24th January 2026 Dive : IJ#2118 Location : Near shore, N. of Geordie Bay, North Rottnest Island, Western Australia Site : Grouper Caves Min Water Temp : 22C Max Water Temp : 23C Visibility : 5-12m Observations : Rocky reef surrounded by sand. Round Southern reef with spur heading off to NE. We went around the 4 corners of Southern lobe and found 3 nice caves. Saw a nice school of Fish in the Eastern Cave including several nice Moonlighters and school of skivvies. Dive : IJ#2219 Location : Further offshore, North of West Side of Geordie Bay, North Rottnest Island, Western Australia Site : Jenny's Spot Min Water Temp : 22C Max Water Temp : 23C Visibility : 15-20m Observations : Beautiful clear water. Semi circle of bommies standing out from kelp gardens around semi circular sand bed. Didn't find any decent caves or scenic features for photographers but nice dive lots of colourful sponge and coral gardens on the mommies and lots of nice reef fish. Enjoyed often just sitting and watching fish like being inside an aquarium ABOUT THIS FILM A calm, real-time record of a dive day exploring the two reefs on the North side of Rottnest Island.
