I finally got to spend a full day in the workshop! In this video, I show my NextWave Shark HD510 CNC machine equipped with the new 10.1" Pendant Upgrade Kit from ‪@NextWaveCNC‬ — a super easy install that even includes an articulating arm mount. After testing out the new controller, I moved over to my downdraft table project. I used the CNC to router out an 8" x 8" section in my butcher block countertop and made custom insert plates, each with unique hole patterns designed to optimize airflow. Below the work surface, I built a plywood box that connects to my dust extractor through a 2.5" port, allowing for up to 2800CFM of airflow with the right hole configuration.
