There are a lot of carefully edited reviews out there that are hiding the amazing number of flaws this thing has, so here are all the reasons NOT To Buy The Amazon Fire TV Cube. Don't get me wrong, this thing has enormous potential thanks to it's ability to control 3rd party devices via Infrared and Bluetooth, but there are some absolute deal breaking flaws that need to be rectified before I can recommend you spend £109 on what is essentially a 4K Firestick with a weak microphone and speaker built in. If you think this is an acceptable first attempt at Voice controlled media then you should watch the first video I ever made on Youtube back in 2012, and you'll see just how much better a complete amateur managed to do it nearly 8 years ago with just a microphone, Vox commando software, a PC and Kodi. What should you buy instead of the Fire TV cube? In my opinion licensing amongst the big players like Netflix and Amazon Prime video has really ruined the market for the cheap Android set top boxes. Netflix and Amazon Prime are both sadly missing from almost all 3rd party devices, and if you spend the time forcing Netflix onto one of these boxes then the remote rarely works properly to navigate the menus.
