At the London premiere of The Witcher: Season 4, Bart Edwards reflected on the darker, more complex tone of the new season — and how it finally lets him explore his character in full. “Season four gets a lot deeper, a lot grittier, and everybody’s top layer starts to peel away,” he explained. “We really get to see behind the curtain this time. In previous seasons he’s been in the shadows — now he’s decided to go out and do it himself.” Edwards also spoke about the real-world resonance of The Witcher’s fantasy themes. “Any genre done correctly allows you to see yourself within it,” he said. “It deals with people being in one place, not being wanted by somebody else, and how that affects communities. I hope we do that justice.” When it comes to adapting Andrzej Sapkowski’s much-loved novels, Edwards praised the show’s creative team for honouring the spirit of the books. “The scripts are written beautifully, but if something doesn’t quite work, we can always go back to the text. We can cheat a little,” he laughed. As for what he hopes fans will take away this season? “I’d really like people to start to question whether they agree with [his character]’s choices,” he teased. “That would be a nice thing — whether they do or not, that’s up to you.” Interviews for Netflix's The Witcher Season 4 with Liam Hemsworth replacing Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. The show stars Liam Hemsworth, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Laurence Fishburne, Eamon Farren, Anna Shaffer, Mimî M Khayisa, Cassie Clare, Mahesh Jadu, Meng’er Zhang, Graham McTavish, Royce Pierreson, Mecia Simson, Sharlto Copley, Danny Woodburn, James Purefoy, and the showrunner is Lauren Schmidt-Hissrich. Colin Hart and Abigail Shii were on the red carpet. Plot: Netflix unleashes a bold new era of The Witcher as Liam Hemsworth takes up the mantle of Geralt of Rivia. After the Continent-shattering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are torn apart by war, destiny, and the countless enemies hunting them across a fractured world. Each must forge their own path through danger and deception — rallying new allies and facing old ghosts in a land where loyalty is as fragile as steel. Created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and based on the beloved novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher: Season 4 delivers eight episodes of monster-slaying mayhem, political intrigue, and heart-wrenching drama as the White Wolf’s journey continues. The Witcher: Season 4 premieres on Netflix on October 30, 2025. #TheWitcher #TheWitcherSeason4 #Netflix #LiamHemsworth #AnyaChalotra #FreyaAllan #BartEdwards #LaurenSchmidtHissrich #TheWitcherPremiere #TheWitcherInterview #TheWitcherRedCarpet #HeyUGuys #FantasySeries #NetflixUK #TheWitcherCast #LFF2025 #TheWitcherEvent #TheWitcherLondonPremiere #TheWitcherNetflix --------------------- For syndication or usage opportunities please contact [email protected]. --------------------- More from HeyUGuys: Website ► http://HeyUGuys.com Follow us on Twitter ► / heyuguys Subscribe here! ► http://bit.ly/HeyUGuysYTSub Facebook ► / heyuguys Instagram ► / heyuguysofficial TikTok ► / heyuguysofficial ---------------------
