I had a job as a cameraman to film in Detroit Just weeks after the 1967 riots. It was shocking. Truly like a bombed out city. And over the years, we Americans saw similar protests in Miami, Los Angeles, and so many other cities. These BLM protests in the small percentage of rioters are doing damage to American communities but on a much smaller scale than the horrific damage done after the 1967 and 1968 riots. Some people don't like using the word riot I would rather call it a disturbance but that is not how it looked to me when I was there. And it is so sad that the folks who left the inner cities after the 1967 in 1968 riots, the small business owners, the little entrepreneurs, left the inner city without some of the resources it needed. Pharmacies. TV repair. So many other small operations that just gave up after their stores were destroyed. I know that some will not agree with my point of view in this video but I presented with the hope that most of my subscribers and others find this historical perspective of interest. I do believe that those who do not reflect on history are more likely to make the same mistakes again.
