In fact, T.Rex Engineering from Denmark proved to have unrivalled determination. They acquired the rights to the Binson and Echorec brands and embarked on a challenging journey of research and work. Their relentless dedication to this ambitious project makes it feel more like a heartfelt homage than just a commercial operation. After 8 years T-Rex finally presented the new rendition of the Binson Echorec. The magnetic drum echo was, at last, reintroduced to the market with its original name and operating principle. The long wait earned the title of “the most anticipated effects device of the last 10 years”. Did T. Rex fully succeed in bringing the original Echorec technology and tones back to life?
