Hey there, great to see you again! Today we're cooking cabbage with a sauce that is so delicious, you'll want to put it on everything! We hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it! (And we've enjoyed making this recipe again and again!). The recipe is below for you. Please let us know what you think and thanks so much for watching! Tuscan "Marry Me" Cabbage. Ingredients: · 2 pounds green cabbage (approx. 1 ½ heads), trimmed and cut into ¼ sections. Cores left intact to hold the leaves together · 3 tablespoons oil (you can used the oil used to soak the sundried tomatoes in) · 2 oz sundried tomatoes (soaked in oil) · 16 oz. chicken stock · 1 ½ cup heavy cream · 1 tablespoon tomato paste · 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning · 3 cloves garlic, minced · 1 shallot, diced · 4 oz. cream cheese softened and cut into cubes · Salt and pepper to taste · 1 tsp paprika · 1 cup parmesan cheese, shredded · 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded . 4 Oz diced bacon · ½ cup mozzarella for topping (optional) · Chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Directions 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice cabbage into 4 quarters through the root, keeping core intact. If you prefer smaller wedges, you can cut them in 1/6 sections. Make sure cores are intact to hold leaves together. 2. Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a large, enamel-coated cast-iron or heavy bottom pan. Add half of the minced shallots and garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add cabbage wedges and cook until brown on each side. Salt and pepper to taste. If you’re using a smaller pan, you may have to cook the cabbage in batches. Transfer cooked wedges into a large baking dish with high walls. Continue with this step until all cabbage wedges are cooked. (If you are using the baking dish for cooking the cabbage in the oven, make sure to spread the cabbage in baking dish and not overlap them.) Next step is to use the same pan to make the sauce. However, if the pan is charred, clean the pan before using or your sauce may taste burnt. 3. Heat more oil in the pan and then add bacon, minced garlic, and shallots to the pan. Sauté for 30 seconds. Then add sun-dried tomatoes, chicken broth, heavy cream, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, and cream cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until well combined and boiling. 4. Add in cheddar and parmesan cheese. Whisk mixture until cheeses are blended into the sauce. This will take about another 1-2 minute. Salt and pepper to taste. 5. If you are baking the cabbage in the skillet, place cabbage carefully trying not to overlap cabbage wedges. Each cabbage wedge should be immersed in sauce. However, if you are using a baking dish, pour sauce over cabbage making sure to coat all the wedges. 6. (Optional) Sprinkle mozzarella or parmesan on top of cabbage before placing them in the oven. 7. Bake until the cabbage is fork-tender and the sauce has slightly thickened. This will take about 45 minutes to an hour. Prior to serving, sprinkle parsley over the cabbage as a garnish. Enjoy! Welcome! Our Channel is about Creating stories with our Cooking Videos.
