Aker BP ROCS

This winter Aker BP has, as the first operator in the world, used the ROCS system from Optime Subsea. ROCS is short for Remotely Operated Controls System, and the system eliminates the umbilical during well completions. Another great advantage with the ROCS is that it is assembled and tested onshore, and ready to run when it arrives offshore. For Aker BP, the ROCS is part of a larger strategy to increase efficiency in well operations. After four operations we do see increased efficiency and reduced cost in this specific part of our well operations.
