"Quid Pro Kaho, Carpe Liam" Experimenting with Music - IB Music

This work is both an "anthem" to my IB Music students, a saxophonist and drummer, whom hail from Japan and Britain respectively, as well as an example of one of the components of the IB Music programme: Experimenting as a Creator. In this component, students are required to select source material(s) and experiment with it (them) to create imaginative and compellling works that transcend the original form(s). For the IB, the experiments should fall into 3 excerpts and show a progression of creative thought, collectively totalling 5 minutes. Here however, the materials have formed a broader work and would NOT be appropriate in its current state for IB submission (see the Music Guide and https://www.thinkib.net/music for all the details). I have used Sibelius for the software with NotePerformer for additional audio enhancement, Audacity for other effects, and HitFilm for the video and text work.
