Super typhoon forecast to enter PAR this week | DZMM TeleRadyo

Courtesy of DZMM TeleRadyo A potential super typhoon may enter the Philippine area of responsibility before the end of the week and affect Northern and Central Luzon by Monday next week, weather bureau PAGASA said. As of 7 a.m. Wednesday, the weather system (formerly LPA 11a)was located 1,925 km east of Northern Mindanao and moving west southwestward at 25 kmh. The tropical depression is packing 55 kph winds and 70 kph gusts. PAGASA weather specialist John Manalo said the tropical depression has shown rapid intensification and may already have strengthened into a tropical storm Wednesday morning before becoming a severe tropical storm by Thursday. It is forecast to enter PAR Friday evening or Saturday morning. PAGASA weather forecaster Glaiza Escullar said tropical cyclone wind signal 1 or 2 may be hoisted in Metro Manila.
