Renowned Chinese war correspondent and media personality Rose Luqiu recently engaged in an in-depth conversation in New York with Mighty Voice founder Vivian Wu. Rose Luqiu currently serves as the Associate Director of the Journalism Department at Hong Kong Baptist University. Before transitioning to academia, she spent 20 years in television news, covering major international events, including the War on Terror in Afghanistan, the Iraq War, the Arab Spring, the Indonesian tsunami, and the earthquakes in Japan and Sichuan. She also reported on Chinese political news, interviewing several national leaders. At Phoenix TV, she held roles as reporter, host, commentator, and news director, gaining a substantial following among Chinese readers through her publications and online presence. Luqiu was a 2006 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Penn State University, and an M.A. in Mass Communications from Baptist University.
