Opening up with a few segulot around the importance of eating Matzah. The Sefirat HaOmer is a very special 7 week period (7 shabbatot = 7*7 = 49 days) starting with us leaving Egypt, leading up to the receiving of the Torah (50th) day. The 7 weeks can be used most importantly to rectify one's character traits - Midot. These 49 days relate to the couplings/combinations of the 7 sefirot of Ze'er Anpin (Chessed, Gevura, Tifferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod) and Nukva (Malchut), which represent the Midot of Hashem. Working on ourselves during this period can allow us to build the right vessels to receive the light from Hashem-Yitbarach in the coming weeks and eventually for the rest of the year.
