Building A Diorama From Styrofoam - A Step By Step Tutorial

In this video I show how I build a 1/35 scale diorama from scratch. I used mainly styrofoam which I cut with my hot wire cutter, balsa wood, some copper foil and some products from Juweela Scenics. After measuring the dimensions of the dioramas base plate I cut the pieces for the plate and the building with my foam cutter and started carving a natural stone front into the house. I then worked the joints out by widening them and created more details like this. The roof was made from Juweela's iron sheetings and the gable was beautified with some balsa wood boards. The barn's gate and window were build from balsa wood from scratch too. The groundwork was done with Juweela's concrete slabs, the joints filled with real earth, fixed in place with diluted wood glue and VMS sand & balast freeze. For the vegetation I applied static grass with my applicator, some longer grass tufts made from sanitary hemp, and some self gluing weed mats. The frame of the scene was made from balsa wood again and finished with Bergswerk's Modellbauspachtel. I hope this step by step guide is helpfull for one or two of you and I can show some techniques for beginners and veterans. Please let me know what you think about it.
