Clarity of the Path to the Hereafter and Ease of Access: Session Two Continuing the discussion on the realm of Barzakh, it can be stated that people in this intermediary world are divided into distinct groups based on their spiritual conditions and worldly deeds: 1. Group One: The People of Faith and Piety 🔹 The Exemplars: Some individuals are filled with unwavering faith and piety. If these people happen to be Prophets or revered Imams (peace be upon them), they do not tarry in Barzakh; rather, they are immediately ushered into the Divine Paradise. 🔹 The Righteous Believers: For those who are sincere and pious believers, their abode in Barzakh is tailored to the extent of their righteous deeds. During this phase, their journey of spiritual evolution towards God continues. They correct minor errors, acquire deeper insights, and prepare themselves for the vast blessings awaiting them in God’s paradise. 📖 As the Almighty states regarding those who are martyred in His cause: 📖 “And do not say of those who are killed in the way of Allah, ‘They are dead.’ Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.” (Al-Baqara: 154) 🔹 In essence, do not label them as dead; they are, in truth, alive, even if we fail to comprehend it. 2. Group Two: The People of Disbelief and Hypocrisy 🔹 The Deceived: Another group is characterized by rampant disbelief and hypocrisy. Similar to the description of Pharaoh’s people in the Qur'an, these individuals become ensnared in the realm of Barzakh: 📖 “The Fire will be presented to them morning and evening, and on the Day the Hour is established, [it will be said], ‘Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant!’” (Al-Ghafir: 46) 🔹 The Tormented: To these individuals, fire is exhibited every morning and evening, and on the Day of Resurrection, when the angels proclaim, “Admit the family of Pharaoh to the most severe punishment!” they will face the ultimate torment. In Barzakh, they are engulfed by overwhelming terror and dread, profoundly experiencing the wrath and anger of God. Fully aware of their doomed fate of eternal punishment in Hell, they are spiritually prepared for the inevitable. 3. Group Three: The Unaware and Unenlightened 🔹 The Neglectful: There exists another group of people who neither embarked on the path to spiritual perfection and knowledge, nor were they classified among the criminals or hypocrites. Instead, they failed to acquire sufficient understanding or draw close to God, choosing instead to indulge in worldly pleasures such as eating, drinking, and various material entertainments. 🔹 The Dormant Souls: Owing to their inability to progress towards spiritual refinement, these individuals enter a state of “sleep” after death. They remain unaware until the moment the Trumpet is blown and the Day of Resurrection is initiated. Upon awakening from their graves, they mistakenly believe that only a brief moment or an hour of sleep has passed. 📖 As the Almighty declares: 📖 “And the Trumpet is blown, and behold, they from the graves will race towards their Lord.” (Ya-Sin: 51) 🔹 The Awakening: At the sound of the Trumpet, they suddenly surge from their graves toward their Creator. In a state of astonishment and terror, they cry out: 📖 “They will say, ‘Woe to us! Who has raised us from our resting place? This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth!’” (Ya-Sin: 52) 🔹 In their despair, they exclaim, “Woe to us! Who has roused us from our slumber?”—a profound realization of the promise of the Most Merciful, as foretold by the prophets. Therefore, the path to the Hereafter is clear for every individual, tailored to one’s deeds and inner state in this world. Believers tread a luminous path, continuously advancing in their spiritual growth in Barzakh, while those steeped in disbelief and hypocrisy are ensnared by fear and torment, and the heedless plunge into a state of oblivious slumber until the Day of Resurrection awakens them.
