Join us every Wednesday with Dr. Isaias Irgau of CHRIAS & Kemal Erkan of United Medical as they discuss why joining a support group is necessary for the bariatric surgery journey. There will be an interactive Q&A opportunity throughout and after. We hope you will join us! At The Time You Schedule Surgery You will need to fill out a history and physical form within 30 days of surgery. Ask your surgeon whether he or she will complete the form, or whether your general practitioner will, and whether you need to do anything to help. Ask whether you need to have any lab work done and when you should schedule it. Tell your surgeon about any medications you take on a regular basis -including any over-the-counter medication such as aspirin or herbal remedies. Ask whether you need to stop taking them prior to surgery, and if so, how far ahead of time. Once you are scheduled for surgery, the surgery center will call to arrange a time for you to meet with your anesthesiologist to discuss the best anesthetic for your procedure. Dr. Isaias Irgau, MD, FACS, FRCS (Ed), FASMBS is president and co-founder of the Christiana Institute of Advanced Surgery (CHRIAS). He has extensive experience with minimally invasive weight loss surgery. Dr. Irgau is board-certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Irgau has personally performed over 2,000 bariatric procedures with excellent results. #GastricSleeveSurgery #VSG #bariatricsurgeryjourney #Diabetes #WellnessWebinar #UMACO #BariatricFriday #weightlosssurgery #UnitedTV
