How Do You Test the Spirits?

Many Christians suppose that the standard measure for testing the spirits is the Bible. We read in 1 John chapter 4 verse 1 that we should not believe every spirit because there are many anti-Christ people, but we should rather test the spirits. BUT Jesus did NOT promise us the Bible in order to test the spirits. Jesus promised the HOLY SPIRIT in order to test the spirits. Jesus promised HIS SPIRIT OF TRUTH TO LEAD THE CHILDREN OF GOD INTO ALL TRUTH! So the question is, have you received the Holy Spirit? And do you KNOW for certain that you are hearing from Jesus because you have received HIS Spirit? DO you test everything against the Spirit of TRUTH that He has given you? Or do you test everything against the Bible? What are you testing everything against? WHAT IS YOUR FINAL AUTHORITY? Is your final authority what JESUS promised, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH? I hope that you really know how to test the Spirits because you have the Holy Ghost in YOU. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
