¡Aparato! formed in the summer of 2009 by Alexandro D. Hernández (electric guitar and jaranas) and Nancy "Cat" Méndez (vocals, electric guitar, melodica, and jaranas). Josh Durón (drums and piano/keyboard) was quick to join the musical journey soon after. In the latter portion of 2011, Vaneza Calderón joins ¡Aparato! to introduce the Mariachi acoustic bass ( guitarrón ) into their ethereal punk sound. For the past 2 years ¡Aparato! has refined their sound by exploring with jaranas and the underpinnings of punk and progressive rock. Now we are ultra-excited to record and release a full-length album!! But, in order to achieve this we need your help to raise $10,000. ¡Aparato! originally planned to raise $5,000 for a five song EP, however, since filming our campaign video, we decided to record a ten song album (hence the $10,000).Your contribution toward this project will get us in the studio to record, pay our producers, mix, and master our music--a cost of approximately $1,000 per song.
