My playthrough of 'Stick It Out' from Counterparts. Wasn't really on my radar for my channel but been listening to Time Machine a lot recently and thought the bassline would be fun to do. I am having to fight the urge to just do Counterparts and Test for Echo basslines each time I come to do a video as there are a lot on those two albums that I really enjoy playing at the moment. I have to remember that a lot of Rush fans like the other eras more and would probably find that very boring of me :) This one is one of the few Rush songs in drop d tuning and is definitely one of the heaviest songs they did. I tried to copy some of the little details Geddy added to the live versions on Different Stages and Time Machine live versions (I especially love the little slide thing he did during the guitar solo on Time Machine)! Lots of flamenco stuff to get stuck into as well which always make a Rush bass part fun for me. Hope you enjoy!
