Origami Flapping Bat 2.0 🦇 Pull the Tail and it Flaps!

[Low Intermediate] How to fold a very realistic looking origami bat that easily flaps when you pull the tail. This Flapping Bat version 2.0 is so much easier to flap than the original Flapping Bat that I taught here:    • Origami Flapping Bat  . In addition, this improved version has an easier-to-make head, more defined tail, better proportioned wings, and a folding method that is a little cleaner and easier, even though the tutorial is a few minutes longer than the original. The inspiration to redesign my flapping bat came from a recent tutoring session in the park with my student Malachi. During the session we designed a new bat, and afterwards I was trying to refine it to make it flap, and I got stuck and ended up digging up my original flapping bat and turned my attention to refining that one instead. I show how this Flapping Bat 2.0 flaps at 4:15 into the tutorial and at that point it is even easier to make flap than the traditional Flapping Bird because it's less likely to tear when you pull the tail because you are not pulling on any raw edges of paper like you do when you fold the . So for anyone who has difficulty getting the traditional Flapping Bird, I do recommend at least folding the first 5 minutes of this model to help you out.
