This vlog is a journey through the heart of Nuku‘alofa that turned out to be more personal than I expected. I start by walking along the waterfront near the Royal Palace, where I caught the simple beauty of fish jumping out of the water, a quiet reminder of how much life is moving all around us even in stillness. From there, I visit my old kindergarten, a place that stirs up childhood memories. It was here that I formed an old friendship with one of my first classmates, someone who would grow up to become the current Crown Prince of Tonga. Sharing that story felt surreal but also deeply grounding. As the heat started to build, I made a quick stop at Weta Coffee for a cold drink and a moment to reflect. The walk continued on to some of the most meaningful places in my family’s story, the gravesites of loved ones including my grandmother. These moments brought a stillness to the vlog and reminded me why walking through the homeland can sometimes feel like walking through layers of time. I also visited a spot that I believe is one of the most underrated places in Tonga, beautiful, peaceful, and tucked away from the usual highlights. And then… there’s the suto moment. I tried. I really did. And I failed. Spectacularly. But it's all part of the journey. I end the vlog walking back to Tofoa, soaking in the familiar sights and sounds of the Friendly Islands. This video doesn’t follow a strict storyline. It's more of a personal meander through places, memories, and a few unexpected turns.
