Co-Laboring with God: Why Belief Is the Key to Stewarding Promise What do you do when God speaks a promise over your life—but you don’t see it yet? Do you quietly lay it down… or dare to believe Him anyway? In this episode, Emily and Courtney unpack the theme of Promise through the lens of _Scroll Revival_—a generation returning to the Word of God, believing what He has spoken, and co-laboring with Him to see His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Starting in *Revelation 4–5*, Emily shares how the Lord connected her personal healing and “scroll revival” journey to the heavenly throne room: Jesus as the *Lamb who opens the scroll*, the *Lion of the tribe of Judah*, and a people becoming a kingdom of priests who rule and reign with Him. From there, they move into *Luke 1–2*, contrasting Zechariah and Mary as two very different responses to promise. You’ll hear them talk about: How Zechariah received a familiar promise (an old-age pregnancy God had done before) yet responded in unbelief How Mary received a completely new promise (a virgin birth that had never happened) yet responded in surrender and faith Why what’s on our lips in this hour matters—God is refining the Bride’s words in preparation for Jesus’ return The picture of Noah believing God for something the earth had never seen, and what that means for end-time faith (Matthew 24) The difference between co-laboring with God and striving in the flesh (Galatians 4: Ishmael vs. Isaac) How a wrong view of God leads to disobedience, unbelief, and “burying our talent” (Matthew 25; Hebrews 3–4) Identity before authority: the elders in Revelation 4 casting their crowns, and Jesus receiving His Father’s affirmation before ministry Mary as a *prototype of the believer*—hosting the indwelling Christ, pondering His words, and carrying both glory and suffering They also dive into the comfort (and challenge) that: We may not fully understand everything God is doing, just like Mary and Joseph in Luke 2 Some in Hebrews 11 never saw the fullness of the promise in their lifetime, yet were counted faithful Our role is not to “make the promise happen,” but to stay in step with Him in hiddenness, obedience, and trust “God will fulfill all of His promises, but He is not obligated to fulfill our potential.” If you’ve wrestled with delay, disappointment, or feeling “disqualified,” this conversation is an invitation to: Let God heal your view of His nature and kindness Trade striving for intimacy and co-laboring Believe again for the new thing He wants to do in and through you Scriptures Mentioned (partial list): Revelation 4–5 • Luke 1–2 • Matthew 24–25 • Hebrews 3–4, 11 • Galatians 4 Isaiah 43, 54 • Psalm 103, 111 • Jeremiah 15:16 • John 17 • Ephesians 2 🎧 Listen & Share If this episode stirred your faith, share it with a friend who’s standing on a promise, and leave a review so more people can join the Scroll Revival.
