Last Boat on the Lake is a film about the Great Lakes commercial fisheries, one of the world's largest freshwater commercial fisheries, and yet largely unknown to the general public. This film explores the challenges and opportunities these fisheries face in a rapidly changing world, and gives an intimate look at the people who bring local fish to North American plates. Written, filmed, produced, and directed by Dr. Hannah Harrison and the FishPeoplePlace lab at Dalhousie University. This film is supported in part by: The Conservation of Change lab at the University of Guelph, the Arrell Food Institute, the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the MEOPAR network, and Dalhousie University (Marine Affairs Program).
