[NO COPYRIGHT INTENDED, RIGHTS GO OUT TO THE ARTIST, PRODUCERS & REC. COMPANIES] This is a man who has paid his dues and pushed his own weight but never received the props, congratulations, credit, or award for his level of skill yet he has been fucked over by the industry and record companies. One of the dopest rappers to come out of San Diego, forget being a West Coast rapper or a "gangsta rapper" .... GPA stays true to the 6-1-9. Most of GPA's material was never released and never got to see the light of day...henceforth the audio quality on some of the songs isn't the best. The songs start from 1999 and regress to 1996. If you happen to be skimming thru his music, you're just gonna catch him stressing his 3 letter name (GPA) and his love for Southeast San Diego... but if you sit down and listen to him verbally abuse the mic, you'll notice that GPA is the MOST UNDERRATED rapper you probably never heard of. The most impressive thing is his lyrical ability as a multi-syllabic emcee. His rhymes usually consisting of the perfect amount of syllable to create rapid tongue twisters over funky beats laced by one of the best and most underrated producers Vicious Man Funk aka VMF (look out for another "TRIBUTE" vid I'll be uploading dedicated to VMF). He has collaborated and appeared on many Chicano classics...He tends to work with Mr. Lil One & Mr. Shadow often. Much of his material has been held back and shelved making it nearly impossible to gather. He first started off rapping with local rappers Double M, Mr. Shadow, and BRWN. The group broke up, GPA and BROWN went solo. In 1996, GPA/BRWN came across Madd Man (of Aztec Tribe) and started recording the album ON THA CREEP (1996). Sadly b/c of some personal business the, the album was never completed. In the coming years GPA appeared on albums by local Diego-Town legend Mr. Lil One. He crossed paths with Mr. Shadow and recorded a few tracks with him. In the late 90's, GPA began recording "Street Poetry" but unfortunately the album was never released. The only album to be released was "Hard Times" in 1999. _________________________ Negative Behavior Shaking in Your Bootz GPA's the Name In Da Groove It Duzn't Matter Close Encounters Get'n Pussy, Get'n Paid Real Muthafucka!
