What's a laydown area?

A 'laydown area' is where we will temporarily store equipment and supplies for use in construction. For the T2D Project, laydown areas will be established for both the northern and southern tunnels. TBMs for the southern tunnels will launch from the southern laydown area, which is located on the western side of South Road in Tonsley/Clovelly Park between Tonsley Boulevard and Norrie Avenue. Information about the location of the Northern Laydown Area will become available as we progress further through the planning and design phase of the T2D Project.
