Myju se or Myju si?🚿 Understand Czech Reflexive Pronouns

The small words “se” and “si” hide a lot of magic. They also have the ability to drive many learners crazy! “Se” and “si” are reflexive pronouns, and they can often appear with the same verbs, slightly changing the meaning of the sentence. But how do we know when to use se, when to use si, and when not to use a reflexive pronoun at all? In this lesson, we look at 7 common Czech verbs that can appear in all three forms, and change meaning depending on which of these “small words” we use, for example, mýt: ▪️Myju nádobí. (I’m washing the dishes.) ▪️Myju se. (I’m washing myself.) ▪️Myju si ruce. (I’m washing my hands.)
