The forests of Turčianská Štiavnička, at the base of the Great Fatra, hide a beautiful and extremely interesting locality, which in 2008 was included among the "seven wonders of the Turks" - the so-called Teplice serpentines. Teplice August is a pleasant location for a family trip. The starting point of the hike to the serpentines is a gazebo with a mineral spring (honeymoon) by the road at the southern end of Turčianská Štiavnička. The sidewalk that passes through the site is unmarked, but clearly visible. Its transition is easy, even families with children can handle it without any problems. Teplice serpentines are a very attractive place for tourists. Dense forest, mountain lakes and roaring water create a real oasis of peace. Teplice serpentines represent a system of smaller mountain lakes connected by water channels. It is an ingenious system of water supply to the village, especially the manor house and manor park, which was built in the years 1870 - 1875 by Count Révay. The water flows through a dense forest with artificially built serpentine troughs, wooden gutters and rocks. In some places, impressive travertine formations have been created by a constant flow - kicks, cascades, terraces ... A part of the locality is also a cross and a view from which you can see the whole Turčianska Štiavnička, some neighboring villages and with good visibility also the peaks of Mala Fatra. Orientation in the view is facilitated by an artistically crafted wooden observation board with a detailed description of the panorama.
