The patient is a manual worker and had no orthotic management during his admission to the hospital. The doctor would like to examine the patient thoroughly and start with a full shoulder examination, looking for nerve root tension signs and wasting in the deltoid shoulder contour. The examination is indicative of a C5/6 lesion with atrophy of the deltoid and weakness in supraspinatus. The doctor suggests getting an MRI scan of the shoulder and cervical spine for further investigation.
