"Say yeah", the biggest hit on their debut album, still brings goose bumps when Gwen Guthrie starts her chorus "So many memories, how sweet how love can be..." with on sax David Sanborn. The Limit's debut album is generally seen as one of the best Dutch 80's Disco, Funk albums. The Limit are Bernard Oattes and Rob van Schaik who released their first single under the name The Limit. Due to legal reasons reasons they couldn't release their debut album under their name The Limit when they signed with Portrait (and Epic/CBS label) in the United States, They had no other choice then to change the artwork and released it under "Oattes Van Schaik (formerly The Limit) with the title; "Love Attaxx". As they were already known in Europe under the name The Limit they put out a big yellow road sign on the cover mentioning "The Limit". In fact it was the title of the album and not the artist which was Oattes Van Schaik. So it was a sneaky way for still using the artist name The Limit for fans to recognize their work. Some tracks from this album were recorded in New York where they enlisted the help from David Sanborn, Wayne Braithwaite and the late Gwen Guthrie. The single "Say Yeah" scored in many countries, in the UK it peaked at #17 in the singles chart and in the US it peaked #7 on the U.S. Billboard Dance Chart. Bernard Oattes and Rob van Schaik did not release any other albums together and went on writing for other succesful artists like Ceejay and Five Star. "It's Only Love" is an unreleased demo recorded in between 1984 and 1989. With possibly Sid Haywoode (of ''Roses'' fame) or Irma Koningferander on vocals, but i'm guessing...
