400HP Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 RS OnBoard Laps at Cremona Circuit (2021 Layout)!

This video is about a tuned Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX RS I recorded last weekend at Cremona Circuit, in Italy, during a track day in collaboration with my friends of WRC Team (an Italian club for owners of rally-style cars) and in occasion of the 2022 Lancer Evo Day. Since I had already recorded this car in the past, for this new video I wanted to try something different by replacing the actual on board audio with a mix between a microphone placed inside the engine bay and a GoPro on the rear of the car. So what you hear it's basically the sound of the screamer pipe and the aftermarket exhaust. In the history of Lancer Evolution models the 'RS' (Rally Sport) badge was given to identify the 'ready to race' version of the car, deprived of every comfort to limit the weight as much as possible. It was produced for rally and racing teams who wanted a platform to build a race car from without all those features which would drive the price up and which race teams would not require. The Evo IX RS has a 5-speed manual gearbox with close ratios (instead of the 6-speed of the more equipped GSR), an aluminum roof, minimalist interiors and a titanium-magnesium turbine which guarantees greater response even at low revs and reduces turbo lag. The owner of the car you see in this video has done many upgrades to make it a nice track weapon. First of all further weight has been removed by replacing the original trunk lid and front hood with carbon aftermarket ones. Mechanically the car has Öhlins Road & Track suspensions and Alcon Club Race brakes. As for the 2.0-litre 4G63 engine it has been fitted with a bigger intercooler, upgraded fuel pump and injectors, custom camshaft and of course an aftermarket exhaust plus ECU tune. For what I heard from the outside I would say an external wastegate plus a screamer pipe have also been installed.
