[21] Alcohol Inks on Brass Blanks & a Bezel - Alternatives to Yupo for Alcohol Inks Series

Episode 7 in the Alternative Surfaces to Yupo for Alcohol Inks series. In the studio today, Queen Katherine is using alcohol inks on brass blanks and a silver bezel. Any of these techniques would make fantastic earrings, a necklace pendant, or a bracelet charm. We will use Ranger's regular inks, Pearls, and Snow Cap Mixative. Ranger's white Enamel Accents will also be used as a base layer on one of the blanks. Blanks like these (1" brass) are full of oil and shmutz from the manufacturing process. PLEASE be sure to clean both sides of your blanks with 91% alcohol and a paper towel before you begin creating or you may wind up with undesirable results! Which is your favorite technique?
