JVC GX-N7E LoLux Newvicon Tube Camera

This is a JVC GX-N5 camera using a Newvicon tube. Being a Newvicon based camera, it has quite high sensitivity (hence the LoLux claim). The auto-iris setting seemed a bit keen, resulting in bright areas being whited out but I later realised that I didn't have the neutral density filter on. The camera has preset white balance and also manual setting where you point the camera at something white and press the button to adjust. There is a bit of a green cast to the picture which suggests that the beam might be very slightly out of focus although the shading compensation etc seems to be correct as the colours are even across the picture. Again, I haven't attempted any repair or setting up on this camera. All in all not a bad camera and it is quite small so would be quite convenient (as far as any separate camera VTR system can be described as convenient). The handle is detachable and has VTR controls on it but the camera can still be used without it fitted. It also has quite a nice fade feature which goes to white rather than black.
