Jaguar XJ6 - 1973 Auctioneer's notes:What a cracking example of a rare 2.8 lit manual gearbox with O/D. This Jaguar is no show queen but a very usable, sound car. I like the interior, good leather, woodwork is excellent and NO SAGGING ROOF LINING. We are told by the vendor that she has had new rear radius arms – stainless steel exhaust – reconditioned steering rack and a new LH fuel tank. In the original book pack sleeve you will find some old MOT”s, a number of service bills from the eighties, original service book with 5 stamps which shows that she was supplied by Granville Motors (BLY) from Burnley on 1.3.73 and her first owner was a Doctor. For the technically minded, the lovely twin cam engine produces 148 BHP and can leap from 0 – 60 in 11 seconds and is able to reach 117 mph, so she is well able to keep up with modern traffic on the Motorways.
